Lord of the Rings Rings & Things: Ring of Barahir

Ring of Barahir
Ring of Barahir

"this ring was like to twin serpents, whose eyes were emeralds, and their heads met beneath a crown of golden flowers, that the one upheld and the other devoured"

- Appears in The Two Towers: Special Extended Edition

The Ring of Barahir can be seen being worn by Aragorn throughout the films, but it is only referred to and explained in a deleted scene.

In The Two Towers: Special Extended Edition
Gríma went to Isengard after fleeing Rohan. He described the ring that Aragorn was wearing to Saruman as he reported on Gandalf's arrival at the Golden Hall and the subsequent events. Saruman consulted his books of lore and found that it was the Ring of Barahir, which was worn by the heirs of Elendil. Saruman summarily dismissed Aragorn as a pretender to the throne of Gondor.
