This cartoon is almost like a variety show. Rocky and Bullwinkle were the headliners in their serial adventures which usually involved foiling the schemes of Russian spies Boris Badenov and Natasha. However, the cartoon also featured several other segments such as Fractured Fairy Tales, Dudley Do-Right, Mr. Peabody with his pet boy, Sherman, Mr. Know-It-All, Poetry Corner and others. The humor was quick-witted and sometimes multi-layered in a way that only adults could catch with veiled references to the Cold War and later the Vietnam War. Meanwhile, children could enjoy the obvious physical comedy and bad puns.
