Legolas In The Fellowship of the Ring:
Legolas arrives at Rivendell for the Council of Elrond concerning the fate of the One Ring. At the council, he defends Strider after Strider tells Boromir that they could not dare use the Ring as a weapon. It is Legolas who reveals to Boromir and Frodo that Strider is Aragorn, son of Arathorn, a descendant of Isildur and heir to the throne of Gondor. Later in the council, he becomes at odds with Gimli when Gimli says that Elves can't be trusted. After Aragorn offers his services to Frodo, Legolas is next to volunteer as a representative of the Elves.
