Premise:
The adventures of Hercules and his best friend, Iolaus, which are often hindered by the jealous gods.


Comments:
Good old swashbuckling fun with a moral to just about every story. The series created a stable of recurring characters, many of which went on to also appear in Xena: Warrior Princess. This New Zealand-based production was one step above a live-action cartoon, but was generally fun to watch week in and week out. The shows that have tried to copy it in style have all failed miserably.
