Doctor Who is a long-running award-winning British science fiction television programme produced by the BBC. After being shelved for a number of years, this incarnation from Russell T. Davies has established itself with long time fans of the show thanks in large part to Billie Piper, who was wonderful as the Doctor's companion for the first two series. David Tennett has settled in as Doctor from Series Two on.
The programme depicts the adventures of a mysterious time-traveller known as "the Doctor." He's the last of the Time Lords and travels in his time ship, the TARDIS, which appears from the exterior to be a blue police phone box . He has a penchant for choosing young attractive women as his companions, though there is little romance, as he explores time and space, solving problems and righting wrongs.
