Haldir In The Two Towers
Haldir surprises King Théoden and Aragorn by arriving at Helm's Deep leading a force of Elves sent by Elrond to rekindle the alliance of Elves and Men. Aragorn eagerly welcomes his arrival. He and the Elves are put under Aragorn's command in defense of the Deeping Wall. Haldir falls during the battle when his position is overwhelmed by Uruk-hai and is killed before Aragorn can reach him.
