This section looks
at the facts and fictions of the film Tombstone. Currently, the following are featured:
1. The character of Curly
Bill Brocius is based on the outlaw of the same name who was Cowboy
'leader' during much of the time that the Earps were in Tombstone.
2. The character of Wyatt
Earp is based on the famous Dodge City, Kansas lawman of the same name
who tried to cash in on the rush in Tombstone, but instead became embroiled
in a feud with the Cowboys, a local outlaw faction.
3. The character of Johnny
Ringo is based on the myths and gunslinging legend surrounding John
Peter Ringgold, aka Johnny Ringo.
