There have been few good fantasy movies (that, and the fact that I like those movies and just needed an excuse to include them). I have included Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon because it is Eastern fantasy and well worth watching. In the last few years there have been a few attempts at quality fantasy: Dragonheart, Dungeons & Dragons, A Knight's Tale and Harry Potter. Some succeeded in captivating children and teenagers, while none succeeded in pleasing adult interests. Now with the release of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, there is hope in the genre.
