Out on Blu-ray in 1080p full HD and DTS-HD master audio from HBO Home Entertainment on June 16, and just in time for Father’s Day gift-giving, the HBO® miniseries John Adams brings to life the story of one of America’s most remarkable – yet little known – historical figures.

Sure to resonate with history and non-history buffs alike, the John Adams Blu-ray will let viewers explore some of the most fascinating moments and people highlighted in the miniseries through enhanced BD features that dramatically bring to life the extraordinary historical events in this epic story. These include “Who’s Who in History,” picture-in-picture biographies of seventeen of the most prominent figures within Adams’ inner circle – all of whom contributed to the making of U.S. history; and “Facts Are Stubborn Things,” an exclusive onscreen historical guide presented as a pop-up feature throughout the seven-part miniseries that provides additional and relevant information on Adams, other historical figures, as well as events as they unfold in the storyline.

Additional bonus features include: “David McCullough: Painting with Words,” a rare and personal glimpse at the life and works of the two-time Pulitzer Prize winner that explores his artistry and approach to writing; and “Making of John Adams,” a behind-the-scenes featurette with cast and crew as they talk about bringing the book to the screen, with an on-set and location tour.
